Keeping it in the family

The Bushies seem to be making moves to distance themselves from all their little helpers who got rewarded with 'license to bilk' no-bid contracts in Iraq. Perhaps they think it will improve their credibility. It won't.

The Seattle Times (via Raw Story) reports that:

One of the U.S. security companies operating in Iraq has been suspended from doing business with the U.S. government after being accused of overbilling millions of dollars through a series of sham companies.

One of the two co-founders is Fox commentator and ex-CIA agent (interesting combination) Michael Battles. Battles unsuccessfully ran for congress in 2002 and was subsequently fined by the Federal Elections Committee for misrepresenting campaign contributions.

According to the Seattle Times article " Several other former Republican officials have come under investigation in connection with other Iraq contracts".
